Princess Amelie

Amelie is in her `pink princess` phase. She wears her princess dress day and night and it is major effort to get her to wear anything else. I dont really mind, but it has been rainy and cold this June and a princess dress just doesnt cut it when playing on a wet and muddy playground. so Ive been getting her dresses right out of bed in the morning when shes half asleep and hope to get out of house before she realizes she isnt wearing princess dress. This usually works, but she will still wear pink sparkly princess shoes!

Laurnet is begining to take first steps and finally getting some teeth. seems like they are coming at the same time, bottom 2 are through and it looks like top 2 are just about to break through gums. He is drooling buckets!

Back in Bern

So we are back in Bern. The weather is turning to spring so I can leave the windows open for a couple hours in the afternoon. Dogs are back with us, althought they do like their Swiss mnt house and didnt eat for 2 days after we got home. Thanks girls, I love you too! Amelie and Laurent were fine on trip back. Im just trying to adjust to Swissness again, I have to remember all the rules and not get a shock from the prices when I look at my grocercy bill! Laurent is still crawling and falling, and Amelie is still talking and talking. She will start a Swiss day care 1 a week end of May. Ashlee is in Spain and will leave us, May 10, to start her new life back in Cape Town. Thats all for now...

Baby Laurent, I havent forgotten about him! He is doing really well. Sitting, crawling and talking! He even starts to pull himself up!

Well, swimming school has paid off! Amelie puts her head in and opens her eyes! She really loves it now. Although, she only trusts her teacher and has yet to try and swim with mom or dad without her water wings.

Last day of school and Amelie's class sang us a few songs, twinkle twinkle little star was a hit. They also did request from audience! At the end the Easter bunny came and gave kids some sweeties! Amelie wasnt too sure about pregnant Easter Bunny... Laurent came to school too and was a hit with all the little girls. Amelie was very proud of her baby brother!
